How Long Does a Bathroom Remodel Take on Average?

A lot of bathroom remodelers market a one-day shower program, but what does that really mean? It means that the actual installation will take a single workday, which is great when you don’t want to turn your home into a construction zone for weeks.

The problem is that even with a one-day bathroom remodel, it could be two months after your consultation before installation actually happens. That’s because the full bathroom remodel timeline includes:

• Planning and design
• Material shipments (aka the lead time)
• Demolition and structural or plumbing upgrades
• Installation and post-installation cleanup

In total, most installers can complete your shower from contract to cleanup in two months or less. At ZINTEX, our standard process (not using the Fast Track Program) tends to take eight weeks or less.

Part of what allows ZINTEX to complete the in-home phases (from demo to cleanup) in one or two days is that we specialize in acrylic shower walls. If you’re looking for a material like tile, the in-home phases are likely going to take longer. Acrylic shower walls come together in four main pieces (the base and three walls), whereas tile must be installed piecemeal.

What Is the ZINTEX FastTrack Program?

 The ZINTEX Fast Track Program is a remodeling option that is available to all ZINTEX customers.  

The Fast Track Program enables customers to complete their remodel in three weeks or less, starting the day you sign your contract. That’s at least one week faster than our fastest standard remodel and more than one month faster than the industry average.

How does it work? The Fast Track Program operates a lot like a standard ZINTEX remodel. The steps are as follows:

• You schedule your ZINTEX consultation. No need to specify upfront that you want to do a Fast Track remodel.
• A ZINTEX design consultant comes to your home and talks about your remodeling needs and the services and products we offer.
• If you’re looking for a fast turnover before the holidays, they’ll talk to you about the Fast Track Program. Notably, you’ll have fewer design options to choose from if you choose a Fast Track remodel, but we’ve built the program around our most popular design choices, including popular shower wall colors and popular storage and safety accessories.
• After signing your contract, you’ll hear from your project manager to schedule your installation sometime within the next three weeks. Some homeowners end up with their new shower in as little as one week after signing the contract!

What Are My Design Options for a FastTrack Remodel?

 We’re able to offer an expedited Fast Track Program because we have the ability to keep a surplus of popular shower materials in our local warehouses. Fast Track offerings include a variety of premium panels with designs that resemble high-end natural stone. Depending on where you live, you may have access Jacuzzi products or Serenity products.

The important thing to keep in mind when you’re using our Fast Track Program is that it does limit your customization options. For example, you may not be able to:

• Pick from the full range of premium wall panel designs offered by Jacuzzi or Serenity (manufacturer availability is subject to your market)
• Add etched patterns to create the aesthetic of tile
• Pick from our full range of shower accessories, such as corner shelves or bench seating
